EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Alan proudly served for four years in the US Navy and was deployed twice to the Persian Gulf in Operation Desert Shield. Growing up in the small town of Apple Springs in the Davy Crockett National Forest of East Texas, Alan was grateful for this opportunity, making it possible for him to see the world and go to college. Alan earned his bachelor’s of science in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and was awarded membership in the Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society of Nursing. While attending university, he worked in a variety of labor-intensive careers, from steel and sawmills to guarding at a maximum-security prison. These experiences instilled in Alan the ‘can-do’ and ‘team-player’ attitudes, and the dedicated focus he is known for.

Alan earned a master’s degree in nursing anesthesia from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT to become a CRNA. He completed his clinical rotations in four states: Utah, Texas, California, and Wyoming. Alan also completed a doctorate in nursing anesthesia practice. Before working with MSA, Alan served in several roles of leadership and prestige, including Chief CRNA at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM; ICU Charge Nurse at Cedars-Sinai in Hollywood, CA and critical care team member.
